The Republican Scientific Conference "Chemistry, Technology, Ecology" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev was held at the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University), On November 25. The conference was attended by scientists and young researchers from various higher education and research institutions of the country.

   The rector of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Professor Jafar Jafarov, made a speech and noted the exceptional services of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev in the training of national scientific personnel and the development of chemical science, at the opening of the conference.

   One of the speakers at the event, Director General of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Corresponding Member of ANAS, Professor Alovsat Guliyev, spoke about the invaluable role of Academician Yusif Mammadaliyev in the development of Azerbaijani science. The professor emphasized that, the scientist's fundamental research in the fields of establishing the scientific foundations of petrochemical processes, catalysis, and organic synthesis has had a great impact on modern chemical science. He pointed out that, the scientific school created by Yusif Mammadaliyev still forms the basic direction of research conducted at Institutes and Universities today.
