The traditional "Pomegranate Festival" was held in the city of Goychay, organized by the Goychay District Executive Power and supported by the Agrarian Innovation Center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, on November 8-9. The main goal of the festival was to preserve and promote the region's pomegranate-growing traditions, turn these traditions into a tourism product, and at the same time expand sales and promotion opportunities for local producers.

More than 65 stands were displayed and various government agencies, entrepreneurs, farmers, as well as organizations operating in the fields of tourism and agriculture participated at the event.

The Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan was also one of the institutions actively participating in the festival. During the festival, the Institute's employees met directly with farmers and participants interested in the agricultural sector and answered their questions. During the meeting, professional advice was provided on soil fertility preservation, fertilization, plant nutrition, and other relevant agrarian issues.

The annual "Pomegranate Festival" has become an integral part of the country's agricultural and agrarian culture and makes a significant contribution to the development of agrotourism.

As always, the employees of the Institute of Soil Science and Agrochemistry are standing by the farmers, supporting their activities on a scientific basis, providing scientific, methodological and practical assistance in areas such as increasing soil fertility and the correct application of agrotechnical measures. The Institute's specialists participate in festivals held in the regions and make a significant contribution to improving the efficiency of agricultural production and improving the knowledge and skills of farmers.
